Great review … seems to be the perfect solution… no cables, batteries etc to worry about? One question, does the c300’s screen swivel at all if you press your eye with against the mira?

As the C300 LCD isn’t locked it depends on position and pressure you put against it.
So it can move away, but I never had a problem with it.
I’m just back from a shoot in Finnland where I used it many times. It’s really a great product I wouldn’t want to miss in my gearbox anymore.

Its a great tool, and wise to take advantage of the resolution of the onboard LDC of the c300. it has some small inconveniences – not being able to flip it up actually is a bit of a hassle, and the diopter range is insufficient for my eye, but I wear a small pair of readers when using it and its fine. A small offset from the camera body on a rod is nice. There is just enough cable on the LCD screen to get it to a good position.

I agree Tom, it’s a shame the diopter range isn’t greater for my ageing eyes! Otherwise it would be perfect!

What brand coldshoe to 15mm adapter did you use? Did the weight of the Deity and Canon LCD make it slip/rotate forward where it connects to the 15mm rod? Thanks
